In 1987 I visited my parents in Kunming, Yunnan, China. I haven’t had Yunnan quisine since. Arriving in Victoria I discovered the Little Yunnan restaurant. I was so excited I dragged my friend Brian down to join me for Crossing the bridge noodles, one of the most famous Yunnan dishes.
