Back in Kingston with Beth this week. Have been working regular hours but somewhere else, so it’s been a good break. It’s also been a chance to more seriously consider what it would be like to live here.
I have really enjoyed the Elm Café at Charles and Montreal. It’s well east of Morgan’s place but has truly wonderful breakfast sandwiches made fresh and served on a pretzel bun.
Their espresso is not my favourite. They use Pilot and it is a little on the green side as Pilot tends to be. I don’t recall it being this green back in May but it’s more likely my imagination than a change in their roast. I certainly recall liking it better in May. Still a good, friendly joint.
On to Peterborough today for their folk festival.
